The Providores and Tapa Room

I wanted to make my boyfriend happy and book a nice place for an amazing brunch together. I have checked on TimeOut ‘Best brunch in London’ and The Providers and Tapa Room looked amazing as it looked a bit more original than the classical ones and the area of Marylebone is really pleasant on a sunny morning.

The decor was simple and bright, very pleasant but the place was pretty small and tight even if I booked to the Providers, the restaurant on the 1st floor. I knew that the place would be expensive but I didn’t expect to still be hungry after the meal.

I was pretty disappointed about everything. We have chosen the turkish eggs and the French toast. The first one was very strange, like two poached eggs immersed in an oily plate. It was very sickening. The second was ok: the French toasts were nicely made and the caramelised fruits and the bacon went perfectly with them but it was pretty light for 12 pounds.

We accompanied our meal with smoothies and juices. Here again, I was not satisfied. The banana and berries smoothie tasted more like water than fruits and the Virgin Guava aqua Fresca had more ice than juice in it. In the end, I had a steep bill in my hands – as they charge the covers as well – for a brunch that left us dissatisfied.
