This was my last restaurant in London and a good surprise as I love Asian food. Shackfuyu is a combination of Asian savours. You will have the choice among many small plates that you combine with sake, hot green tea or their delicious margharita.
The service is quick and the staff helpful. We have tried the Prawn toast, the duck soup gyoza and the scallop ceviche with wasabi which was the best of the starter. Then, we continued with the mushrooms with garlic miso, plain rice, chicken wings and sukiyaki Wagyu.
I was amazingly surprised by the last dish which is made with fine beef slices with mushrooms in a sweet sauce that you melt with a raw egg yolk and a savoury sauce; the beef was so tasty and tender.
I was a bit disappointed by the chicken wings which were, in my opinion, too spicy and greasy. To finish, we shared the famous and only one dessert served in this restaurant: The Kinako French toast, which is a sweet and spongy french toast, served with delicious matcha ice cream. I loved it!
I recommend this restaurant for people who are looking for originality and tastes in food.
