What an amazing surprise when we discovered this busy, full of life tapas bar Copita in the heart of Soho. We were lucky because we found a place to sit directly. There are no table like in classical restaurants it’s mainly counters and bar stools with Spanish staff, country ham hanging to the ceiling; we were in the atmosphere of a real tapas bar.
And that’s not it, the food is really amazing as well ! I didn’t have the chance to try the extensive choice of tapas but I can advise you what I have tried. The squid served with the black creamy risotto was delicious, the presa iberica was tender and perfectly cooked, the sweet potatoes with the bravas sauce and peanuts were tasty, the roasted aubergine with the tomato sauce and hazelnut had a good flavour and the empanadillas de sobrasada was spicy and crusty as it should be.
Add to this a glass of wine or a typical Spanish beer and you will be fulfilled. The staff is attentive, quick and will give you good recommendation. This place is perfect if you need to eat quick and tasty food.
It can be a bit noisy during the evening but the atmosphere stays enjoyable.
